What it sounds like
The soft bump of a classic scroll wheel, one per notch: a small plastic click with a little low knock inside it. It is the scroll sound most people already have in their head. Fast scrolling sounds like a wheel actually spinning.
Good for
- Everyday scrolling on a trackpad that has none
- Making a silent mouse sound like the one it replaced
- Pairing with the Desk Job or Fidget clicks
How it is made
A burst of white noise centered at 1.2 kHz for the detent and a sine that drops from 480 to 340 Hz for the knock, about 50 ms per notch.
Every qliqr sound is synthesised from a small text recipe, so the version you hear here is the same one the Mac app plays, with natural variation so no two presses are identical.
