What it sounds like
Zipper teeth, one per notch. Each tick is a thin, bright snick with a lower one under it, and a fast scroll runs them together into a proper zip. Scroll slowly and it is one tooth at a time.
Good for
- Fast scrolling through long pages, where the zip is the point
- Playful demos
- Pairing with the Fidget clicks
How it is made
Two narrow bursts of white noise per notch, one centered at 3.8 kHz and a quieter one at 1.9 kHz, each only a few milliseconds long.
Every qliqr sound is synthesised from a small text recipe, so the version you hear here is the same one the Mac app plays, with natural variation so no two presses are identical.
