What it sounds like
A teaspoon tapping a tiny tin cup: a bright ting with a thin, slightly metallic ring that lasts a fraction of a second. It is delicate rather than harsh, and sits high enough to be almost bell-like. Clicking with it feels dainty.
Good for
- Light, cheerful work such as planning and list-making
- ASMR-adjacent recordings that want a bright accent
- Pairing with soft keyboard sounds
How it is made
A 3.1 kHz sine with mild FM at a 3.5 ratio for the tinny partials, a quieter sine at 5.27 kHz, and a very short hiss of white noise high-passed above 6 kHz for the strike. No body; the ring comes from the tones themselves.
Every qliqr sound is synthesised from a small text recipe, so the version you hear here is the same one the Mac app plays, with natural variation so no two presses are identical.
