Bubblegum

What it sounds like

A round, rising pop, like a bubble giving up. The pitch swoops upward fast, so it reads as bloop rather than click. A double-click chains two of them with the second a little higher, which is hard to hear without smiling.

Good for

• Casual browsing and games
• Short social clips and app demos
• Anyone who finds normal clicks too serious

How it is made

A sine that glides from 380 Hz up to 1.1 kHz in 35 ms, with a tiny high-passed noise tick on the front edge. The double-click repeats the sweep twice, 60 ms apart, the second one five semitones up.

Every qliqr sound is synthesised from a small text recipe, so the version you hear here is the same one the Mac app plays, with natural variation so no two presses are identical.
