What it sounds like
One drop into a still bowl of water. The pitch rises as the drop lands, with a second, higher ripple right behind it, and then the surface goes quiet. In headphones it is close and a little cool, as if the mic were an inch above the water.
Good for
- Focused, calm work with headphones on
- Meditation-adjacent apps and gentle demos
- A click that feels wet rather than mechanical
How it is made
Two sine tones with rising pitch glides: the main one from 900 Hz to 1.9 kHz over 30 ms, and a quieter one from 1.8 to 3.2 kHz starting 12 ms later. No noise and no body, so it stays pure.
Every qliqr sound is synthesised from a small text recipe, so the version you hear here is the same one the Mac app plays, with natural variation so no two presses are identical.
