What it sounds like
A single thumb-piano key, plucked and left to sing. The press rings a clear D for about a third of a second; the release answers with a higher A, so a click becomes a small two-note phrase. It is the most musical click in the set and one of the longest.
Good for
- Slow, thoughtful work where a note per click feels right
- Music-adjacent demos and tutorials
- Headphone sessions with a melodic mood
How it is made
A sine at 587 Hz (a D) with a long 350 ms decay, a quiet 3.17 kHz sine for the bright edge of the pluck, and a very short burst of white noise at 2.5 kHz for the fingernail. The double-click repeats the note a fifth higher.
Every qliqr sound is synthesised from a small text recipe, so the version you hear here is the same one the Mac app plays, with natural variation so no two presses are identical.
