What it sounds like
A glass marble bouncing twice on a tabletop: a hard, glassy tick and then a smaller one 28 milliseconds later. The ring is bright and very short, and the second bounce is what makes it feel like an object rather than a switch. Clicking with it feels like dropping something small and hard.
Good for
- Tapping toys and fidgety browsing
- Close-mic, ASMR-style recordings
- People who like a click with a little motion in it
How it is made
A burst of white noise centered at 3 kHz and a 2.6 kHz sine, both repeated once at half level 28 ms later to make the bounce. A narrow glassy body at about 2.6 and 6.1 kHz adds the ring.
Every qliqr sound is synthesised from a small text recipe, so the version you hear here is the same one the Mac app plays, with natural variation so no two presses are identical.
