What it sounds like
A fingertip landing on a felt desk mat: soft, dull, with no edge at all. There is a small rounded thump and then nothing. It is closer to a texture than a click, and it disappears under any voice.
Good for
- Late nights in a shared room
- Voice-over and podcast recording where the click has to stay under the mic
- Trackpads, where a sharp click feels wrong
How it is made
A burst of white noise low-passed at 900 Hz so only the dull part gets through, plus a sine that slides from 300 to 200 Hz for the thump. Nothing else: no body, no high end.
Every qliqr sound is synthesised from a small text recipe, so the version you hear here is the same one the Mac app plays, with natural variation so no two presses are identical.
