What it sounds like
A backpack clip snapping shut in two quick stages: a first contact, then the louder latch 22 milliseconds later with a low plastic thunk. It feels like the click has travel and an end stop. The release is a single, lighter unclip.
Good for
- Clicks that should feel like something locked into place
- Long review sessions where a two-stage click keeps the hand busy
- Recordings with a hands-on, physical mood
How it is made
A burst of white noise centered at 2 kHz, repeated with the second hit louder than the first, and a sine dropping from 520 to 330 Hz that starts on the second hit. A body at about 880 Hz and 1.7 kHz gives it the hollow plastic shell.
Every qliqr sound is synthesised from a small text recipe, so the version you hear here is the same one the Mac app plays, with natural variation so no two presses are identical.
