What it sounds like
One fat bubble of packing wrap, squeezed until it goes. There is a deep, slightly overdriven pop with a crackle of plastic on top, and it is the fullest-sounding click in the family at the same volume. Clicking with it is unreasonably satisfying.
Good for
- Clearing an inbox or a backlog, one pop at a time
- Playful streams and demos
- Anyone who pops the whole sheet
How it is made
A burst of white noise low-passed at 1.4 kHz for the body of the pop, a sine that drops from 180 to 90 Hz for the thump, and a second noise burst around 2.2 kHz for the crackle, all pushed through a soft-clip drive to fatten it.
Every qliqr sound is synthesised from a small text recipe, so the version you hear here is the same one the Mac app plays, with natural variation so no two presses are identical.
