What it sounds like
A pencil tapped on the edge of a wooden desk. There is a woody knock with a small low thud under it and a short, dry resonance. It is warm rather than bright, the kind of tapping you do without noticing.
Good for
- Thinking time: reading, reviewing, waiting for builds
- Quiet rooms where a wooden tap is tolerable
- People who tap pencils anyway
How it is made
A burst of white noise around 1.9 kHz, a triangle wave dipping from 1.15 kHz to 900 Hz, and a low 260 Hz sine for the desk. A body tuned at about 1.15 and 2.4 kHz supplies the woodiness.
Every qliqr sound is synthesised from a small text recipe, so the version you hear here is the same one the Mac app plays, with natural variation so no two presses are identical.
