What it sounds like
A friendly skeleton playing its own ribs like a xylophone. The press is a bright, bony tock with a short ring, and the release is a higher one. A double-click rattles three notes in a row, each a little higher, which is the closest a click gets to a giggle.
Good for
- Halloween streams and spooky-season demos
- Playful, percussive browsing
- Anyone who wants a knock with a wink
How it is made
Two sine partials at 1.24 and 3.42 kHz for the bone tone, plus a very short burst of white noise at 2 kHz for the strike. The double-click repeats the note three times, 50 ms apart, stepping up three semitones each time.
Every qliqr sound is synthesised from a small text recipe, so the version you hear here is the same one the Mac app plays, with natural variation so no two presses are identical.
