What it sounds like
One thick, slow bubble surfacing in the brew. The pitch rises from a low glug to a plop over most of a quarter second, with a smaller bubble following behind. It is round, viscous and comically slow for a click.
Good for
- Seasonal fun on an otherwise serious desk
- Cooking and recipe apps, if you are feeling it
- A click that sounds liquid instead of mechanical
How it is made
A sine that glides from 160 up to 520 Hz over 70 ms, a quieter sine from 320 to 900 Hz starting 50 ms later for the second bubble, and a soft burst of white noise low-passed at 500 Hz for the surface breaking.
Every qliqr sound is synthesised from a small text recipe, so the version you hear here is the same one the Mac app plays, with natural variation so no two presses are identical.
