What it sounds like
Knuckles on a hollow pumpkin. The knock is deep and round, with a resonance that makes it sound like there is space inside, and it lasts long enough to feel like a real object. Somebody is home.
Good for
- Porch-season browsing in October
- Low, warm feedback that is still clearly a knock
- Headphones, where the hollowness really lands
How it is made
A sine that falls from 210 to 150 Hz for the knuckle and a burst of white noise around 600 Hz for the skin, pushed hard into a body tuned low, at about 310 and 540 Hz. The body mix is high, which is where the hollow comes from.
Every qliqr sound is synthesised from a small text recipe, so the version you hear here is the same one the Mac app plays, with natural variation so no two presses are identical.
