Whisper

What it sounds like

Mostly air. A soft breath of a click, like a short exhale through the teeth. There is no pitch and no thump, just a brief puff that is easy to forget is there.

Good for

• Voice-over and streaming where the click must sit under speech
• Trackpads and silent keyboards
• People who want to know they clicked and nothing more

How it is made

A single layer: pink noise through a wide bandpass centered at 1.5 kHz with a 25 ms decay. No tone, no body.

Every qliqr sound is synthesised from a small text recipe, so the version you hear here is the same one the Mac app plays, with natural variation so no two presses are identical.
