What it sounds like
A current-issue office mouse: neat, gray, unremarkable in the best way. The click is clean and mid-bright with a tiny plastic resonance and no low end. It is the sound of a Tuesday, and that is the point.
Good for
- Default everyday clicking when you do not want to think about it
- Open-plan offices and calls, since it is tidy and short
- People who simply want their laptop to sound like a mouse
How it is made
A burst of white noise centered at 2.8 kHz with a short sine dropping from 900 to 600 Hz, lightly colored by a single body mode at 1.9 kHz. The release is the same idea, a little quieter and higher.
Every qliqr sound is synthesised from a small text recipe, so the version you hear here is the same one the Mac app plays, with natural variation so no two presses are identical.
